What are handbag purse hooks and why use them?

20 Feb

Handbag purse hooks

What is interesting I never see a lot of women take advantage of handbag purse hooks (also called handbag table hooks). If you don’t know what they are here is a quick guide. Handbag purse hooks are special hooks that you can place on the end of the table and will suspend your handbag without it being on the table, chair or worse on the floor. I see many women place their nice purse or handbag on the floor at restaurants is insane.

What you may not know is place your beautiful handbag on the floor will contribute to his collecting fungi, bacteria, and viruses. Even worse some women would place their bag on the floor of a restaurant or similar venue collect he germs then go home and put the handbag on their bed or even kitchen table. Ladies just don’t do it. I just found out that in Brazil there is a crazy superstition that says if a woman’s places her handbag on the floor she will lose all her money. Well, that’s a bit extreme, but handbag hooks make sense.

Here are the benefits of using a handbag purse hook:

1. Reduces the collection of germs on the bottom of your purse.

2. Are compact, many of the styles fold up.

3. They last for years.

4. Provides an out-of-the-way place for your handbag.

5. Keeps your handbag off the floor and other places that are just not sanitary.

6. Reduces the incentive for theft as your bag is right near you off the table ledge.

7. Inexpensive ranging in price from $10-$30.

8. There are various styles and shapes to fit your taste.

9. Strong enough to hold even the heaviest of women’s handbags.

10. Are fashionable for all occasions.

11. They don’t mark up the table or surfaces.

With all these benefits I am surprised why more women don’t use this essential handbag accessory more.

28 Jan

coconut oil image

Hey ladies, I want to share some benefits of coconut oil.  I was just looking up ways to make my hair grow longer and stronger and I found out about all types of products to use but there were a few that stood out to me like castor oil, virgin olive oil, and coconut oil. I went out and purchased some castor oil with mink oil from Walgreens and I have used it in my hair on my scalp and I will continue to use it and will update you on the progress.

Good for Hair

Coconut oil is not only good for your hair but it is also wonderful oil for your general health. Researching coconut oil it appeared to stand out in the crowd of other natural solutions and was better than most other oils.  I watched countless reviews on YouTube and Google touting coconut oil to make sure what I wasn’t just hearing a scam. I found so many ways that coconut oil can benefit your health and work to heal so many things its crazy.

All around benefit

I am telling you this because if coconut oil is that beneficial why not share it. Please go to YouTube and search on coconut oil and also Google it as well and you will see. Let me know if you are going to try it out. I just picked up Organic Virgin Coconut oil unrefined cold pressed, USDA approved from the health food store and I am excited to try it. I am going to use it on my skin and hair.

Please research this for yourself. I hope it can benefit you.

Love Our Handbags Being Real – What does Faux Leather Mean?

5 Aug

Well we do it too, but we are upfront about it. A lot of handbag company’s use the words “faux leather” or “faux material” and so do we. We have even seen a bag company advertise “genuine faux leather”. That one was amazing to us.

The fact of the matter is faux means imitation or fake. It is a french term that is pronounced “foh” (with a long O), with the exact meaning of “false”.  Our industry has changed its meaning as if faux was an exotic material. It’s not. It does sound better that saying false or fake doesn’t it.

But Love Our Glamour is being real and we use it because it does sound better, but it really means imitation of the real material, so faux leather means imitation leather or artificial leather. We provide the word faux leather in the title of the handbag, but we often say its synthetic or simulated leather as well.

As always please comment about our blog, we are always being real. Thanks for tuning in.

What is a Hobo Handbag?

27 Jul

The hobo bag is a style of handbag or purse that is typically large and characterized by a crescent shape, a slouchy structure and a long strap designed to wear over the shoulder. Hobo bags are made out of soft, flexible materials and tend to slump, or slouch, when you sit down. There are many different sizes and shapes of this popular handbag.

The hobo bag has become a very popular choice worn by Hollywood celebrities.

Hobo bags have a strap, whose length is often adjustable. Most women wear hobo bags on their shoulder, as opposed to holding the strap in their hand. Hobo bags are produced using flexible materials such as soft leather, microfiber or suede. As a result, this style of bag tends to slouch or fold in on itself, even when hanging from a woman’s shoulder.

Hobo bags tend to have a casual appearance they look great when paired with relaxed summer apparel that includes maxi sun dresses, skinny jeans or even cotton Capri pants.

Most hobo bags provide women with enough room to carry all their essential items such as a wallet, phone and cosmetics bag. If you’re anything like me in the summer I love to wear heels but I carry a pair of flip flops in my bag as well.

While hobo bags look great, different styles and colors are appropriate for different occasions.

Large hobo bags are too bulky and should not be worn with office attire, particularly conservative suits or with very formal dresses. Instead, they are better paired with casual clothing. When choosing a hobo bag for formal attire, pick one that’s smaller in size also one that is a solid color without pattern.

Hobo handbags can vary in pricing and we carry an array of them. Look for stylish hobos at

What is a Satchel Handbag?

11 Sep

Many cases it does depend on who you ask. However, satchels used to be only indicative of bags that men used, that had a flap and typically wore across the body like a messenger bag (we will talk about these soon). But as women came into their own and fashion defined the bags that women wore, satchels in handbag terms, had a specific meaning.  Satchels are usually structured bags, almost like a briefcase originally. But now they can mean any bag that has a rigid feel structure and often satchels can stand up on their own. They may or may not have a flap, and they often times have a triangular structure and a short handle and are not necessarily worn over the shoulder but by the hand.

Here are some satchels that one could always call them satchels. As I said it sometimes depends on who you ask.

Then there are those bags that people call satchels and its difficult to clearly see why it’s called a satchel as it may not be structured or can stand on its own and isn’t somewhat triangular in structure.

And here is what the “man” version of the satchel looks like, oddly when speaking in terms of the man’s version of the satchel its pretty clear it’s a bag kind of like a briefcase that has a long strap and a flap and probably does not stand on its own. So different from the contemporary version of the women’s satchel.

The men’s version of the satchel is just ugly ladies..isn’t it. Tell us what you think.
